Sewing Class

⏰ Time: 4:30 PM –6:00 PM

Learn basic sewing skills, from hand stitching to using a sewing machine. Explore your creativity and build confidence in a fun and supportive environment!

📍 Location: Sacramento Youth Center

👥 Ages: 14–24

📅 Day: Wednesdays (All year)

⏰ Time: 4:30 PM – 5:30 PM

Improve your English reading, writing, and speaking skills while having fun! Enjoy games and win raffle prizes at every session.

ENGLISH LEARNER Peer Mentoring

📍 Location: Sacramento Youth Center

👥 Ages: 14–24

📅 Day: Tuesdays

🗓 Start Date: August 25th

⏰ Time: 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM

Learn, connect, and grow with peers while exploring the 8 Dimensions of Wellness. Build confidence, and life skills, r through engaging activities.

Community PEER MENTORING CLASS

📍 Location: Sacramento Youth Center

👥 Ages: 14–24

📅 Day: Saturdays

🗓 Start Date: August 29th

⏰ Time: 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM

Join a supportive community peer mentoring class where you'll build friendships, develop leadership skills, and explore the 8 Dimensions of Wellness.

Robotics Class

📍 Location: Sacramento Youth Center

👥 Ages: 14–24

📅 Day: Saturdays

🗓 Start Date: October 3rd

⏰ Time: 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM

Build, code, and explore the exciting world of robotics! Learn the basics of programming, and problem-solving while working as a team to create and control your own robots.

Mentoring

Our evidence based mentoring program is a small group approach making it a lot more accessible for youth.

A group of 15 students learn about our 8 Dimensions of Wellness and what they can do to be happy, healthy and successful in all 8 dimensions.

Then they learn the skills to pass that on to their peers, becoming a peer mentor.

Enrichment classes

Join one of our on going groups or classes!

Enrichment Classes are hands on skill building experiences for our youth. The focus in the classroom is workforce development as well as personal development. Youth might join a sewing, music, barista or art class here at SYC. Our goal is they would walk away with job skills to build their resume and grow in creative expression.

Each year we have our Week of Service, this is a perfect place for youth to have an amazing week and give back to the community.
